The Simrad PX Multi Sensor is an innovative multifunction sensor for the Simrad PX catch monitoring systems.
The Simrad PX Multi Sensor can be programmed to suite your need at the time of use, at no cost. The PX Multi Sensor can replace several traditional PI or PS sensors. All is needed is a computer, the TV80 Software and a dedicated programming cable.
The Simrad PX Multi Sensor is equipped with the latest battery technology. By means of a custom made Li-Ion battery and a new charger, the PX Multi Sensor offers significantly longer operation when compared with previous generation Simrad sensors.
The PX Multi Sensor is available in several different versions: -
The version is defined by the type of sensor lid. The basic version of the sensor has a neutral lid and can make the following measurements:

These functions are not counted as measurements and will not use any of the two (maximum five) that the sensor can do. However, the battery capacity will be reduced.
To add additional measurements a dedicated licence is required. The licence allows you to make up to five measurements simultaneously.
In order to receive the information from the sensor you need a suitable receiver (PI or SR Series), one or more hydrophones, as well as a computer running the Simrad TV80 or Simrad PI50 programs.
As well as Simrad PI hydrophones it may be possible to use non Simrad manufacturered hydrophones provided the communication frequency matches.
