The Hondex HE-773IV-DI sonar was designed to meet the needs of inshore fishing vessels who require a cost-effective, comprehensive sonar solution.
The ultra-compact sonar is available in either manual or automatic versions. Both are supplied as standard with a 1-meter sonar tube. Alternative optional lengths are available meaning that installations can be completed on most types of fishing vessel. With the addition of the counter rotation function the HE773IV-DI makes it simple to review marks of fish at the touch of a button.
The TD303's 290kHz frequency will provide a much higher quality resolution of image when compared to a traditional 200kHz frequency and is ideal when searching for ‘bait fish’ including sardine, mackerel, herring and anchovy.
With a lower frequency range of 140-240kHz, the TD304 customer can expect a longer detective range which is around 1.5-2 times greater than the TD303, but with this comes a slightly lower quality resolution of image.
The compact sonar features three operational modes – Sonar, Bottom Sonar and traditional Echosounder
Selectable detection range (scanning sector) to cover narrow to whole circle. It is also possible to select 4-Display Mode and Off-Centre Mode. Unique to the HE-773III-DI is the 4-display mode where 4 separate sonar pictures can be displayed each with their own range/tilt settings, allowing the operator to see if fish are going deeper or rising to the surface.
Sea floor condition or fish school are easily detected and shown as a cross section view by rotating the transducer
The Honde HE773III-Di sonar can also display the bottom shape and fish school information just like a conventional echosounder.
